Bleecker Street recently released the trailer for What Happens Later, a rom-com co-written by faculty member Kirk Lynn, Steven Dietz and Meg Ryan. Ryan also directs and stars in the film, which will premiere in theatres this October. 

Vanity Fair praised faculty member Annie Baker's "dreamy" debut film, Janet Planet, which will screen at Telluride Film Festival August 31-September 4, 2023. Baker recounts the context of her film and the discoveries she made during her crossover from stage to screen.

Ph.D. candidate Khristián Méndez Aguirre has been selected as a 2023 Provost's Early Career Fellow through the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost at The University of Texas at Austin. He joins a cohort of scholars from across the University who will receive training and resources designed to propel them towards careers at top research institutes.
