Playwriting faculty member Kirk Lynn discusses the performance of play as part of Two Guys on Your Head In-Person (a production from NPR Radio) on February 21, as part of the Texas Science Festival 2023.

Guinevere Govea (B.A. 2021) and Anna Pickett (B.S. in Youth and Community Studies) will receive the world premiere of their original work Spells of the Sea February 10-March 5, 2023. Spells of the Sea was first workshopped as part of the Cohen New Works Festival. 

Current B.F.A. in dance student London Lack argues for the inclusion of arts programs in STEM practices, speaking with faculty member Tina Curran and fellow student IvyCamille Sampson.

M.F.A. candidate Emma Dickerson was selected for the 2023 Barbara Matera Award in Costume Making. This award recognizes her excellence and artistry as a costume maker and earns her a monetary prize and registration for the USITT Conference & Stage Expo. 

Kimber Lee (M.F.A. 2011) is among ten finalists for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for her play saturday. Lee's play was selected from nearly 200 applicants worldwide for the international prize, which centers the work of women+ playwrights.

Kate Freer recently lent her design expertise to Ride the Cyclone, produced by Arena Stage January 2023. 

Costume faculty member Rachel Barreto recently created beautiful costumes for a recent production of Laughs in Spanish, presented by the Denver Centre for the Performing Arts in January 2023.
