Faculty members Sinclair Emoghene (Department of Theatre and Dance) and Lillian Chin (Cockrell School of Engineering) reflect on their year-long collaboration, culminating as part of Dance Repertory Theatre's Rooted in Motion. In collaboration with Chin's team, wired sensors are placed on dancers to "gather data and project their movements on a big screen in the form of dynamic light patterns."
Faculty member Gesel Mason joins Round Three of Dance/USA's Artist Fellows, providing her with support as an artist who works "at the intersection of social and embodied practices."
Choreographers EG Gionfriddo (faculty), Sinclair Emoghene (faculty) and Makaila Natividad (current student) speak on their process creating dance pieces for Rooted in Motion.
