Welcome Week 2020 Goes Virtual

To celebrate the start of a new academic year, the Theatre and Dance Undergraduate Advisory Council has developed unique online events that will help welcome incoming students to the department. From a game night to virtual Convocation, they are ensuring that our new Longhorns have a chance to make connections and meet their peers as the semester starts.

TPA and Fusebox Fesitval's Residency Program Consists of Faculty, Alumni and Students

Texas Performing Arts has teamed up with Fusebox Festival to launch a new residency program for Austin-based performing artists. This year's artists consist of faculty members Gesel Mason and Charles O. Anderson, alum Rudy Ramirez and the artists of Frank Wo/Men Collective, many of whom are alumni or current students at the Department of Theatre and Dance.

Veronica Boccardo cast as lead actress in debut acting role

Veronica Boccardo (B.F.A., Dance, 2017) was cast as the lead actress in her first debut acting work in the short dance film, Ms. Anita. The film has been selected to be streamed as part of the Amazon Prime video platform this year and has won awards at the Accolade Global Film Competition, The IndieFest Film Awards, the 53rd World-fest Houston International Film Festival and the Lift-off Global Network in London and Sydney.
