Giulianna Marchese graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017, where she studied dramaturgy. As a dramaturg and writer, she has worked with Quantum Theatre, City Theatre Pittsburgh, American Theater Company, Raven Theatre, At Home Artist Project and City Theatre Miami. She spent the pandemic substitute teaching in West Virginia. As a graduate student, Marchese’s research focuses on using performance to support alternative approaches to justice. She literary managed Red Theater Chicago for six years, where she created and programmed Script Club, a monthly event to discuss and promote plays from the New Play Exchange.
