Festival Gala Features Choreography by Mariclaire Gamble, Lisa Kobdish and Megan Rushing

Two works choreographed by University of Texas BFA in Dance candidates were honored by their selection for the closing night Gala performance at the American College Dance Festival – South Central Regional Conference held March 11–14 at Texas A&M University.

A panel of adjudicators selected these works from among 46 entries submitted by universities from Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Other entries included works by university faculty and professional choreographers.

High Five Jive, choreographed by juniors Lisa Kobdish and Mariclaire Gamble, and A/Part, choreographed by senior Megan Rushing, were among 10 works honored by this selection.

For the second consecutive year, UT was the only school at the conference with both of its entries invited onto the Gala performance.
