Poor Boys’ Chorus by Brian Kettler (M.F.A. 2015) is one of 20 plays selected from more than 200 submissions to be a part of Broadway Bound Theatre Festival’s inaugural season in New York City this August. Poor Boys’ Chorus was developed and produced while Kettler was pursuing his master’s degree at UT Austin. The 2017 production in New York City is a bi-coastal collaboration between the Portland-based playwright and NYC-based theatre arts administrators Sara Robillard (B.A. 2015) as co-producer and Sean Tecson (B.A. 2015) as co-producer and director. Other Longhorn collaborators include Kevin Hippler (B.A. 2015) and Robert Di Donato (B.A. 2016), who completed clown training under Christopher Bayes, head of physical acting at Yale School of Drama, for the role.
