Renita James

Renita James is a teaching artist, actor and activist. She has served as director of education for Aurora Theatre and teaching artist fellow for Metro Theatre Company in Saint Louis, Missouri. She has had the great pleasure of creating many in-school programs, including an arts-integrated Stem on Stage program with an area high school. She also spearheaded a free teen program that included elements of social justice. James has also performed with theatres across the country. Some of her favorite acting credits include Player 3 (Metro Theatre Company), "Jo" in FML: How Carson McCullers Saved My Life (7 stages), "Winnifred" in Once Upon A Mattress (Stage Door Players) and "Mary" in The 12 Dates Of Christmas (Aurora Theatre).
