Justin Gordon has worked extensively in theatre and film as an actor, director, producer and theatre educator for over twenty years. He studied directing and stage combat at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England and received his M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Gordon's work as an actor and director has been seen at regional theatres in the United States, and his acting and producing work in film and television has spanned the globe. From 2009-2015, he was a managing partner at FallBack Plan Productions, an independent film production company in Los Angeles. There he developed and produced film projects from conception to distribution, achieving critical success with the films Absentia and Oculus. Currently, Gordon is the artistic director of New Canon Theatre Company in Monterey, California; which specializes in both reimagining classical plays in tandem with new play development and production. He is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, Actor’s Equity Association, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and serves on the advisory board of Live Arts Santa Fe. When he isn't working, Gordon is an avid visual artist, hiker, climber and amateur chef.
