Hal Cosentino is a transgender theatre maker creating scripts that blend embodied performance with expansive language. He has developed work in Chicago, New York and Austin. Previously, he was a member of The Syndicate, a network of artists that produced new plays, performances and events by women, queer and trans people. His plays Oh, Buddy and Lineage were both O'Neill National Playwrights Conference Finalists (2023 and 2024). Before that, as an undergraduate at Skidmore College, Cosentino studied performance with SITI Company and at the Moscow Art Theatre School. He is currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Theatre with a specialization in playwriting at The University of Texas at Austin and frequently collaborating with his art/life partner, Ellenor Riley-Condit.
