
Performance as Public Practice presents a series of dance events that features a workshop on contemporary movement and connections to the stories of the Orixás and a lecture on the history and formation of Palestinian and Israeli folk dance as representations of national identity.

After three years of rigorous training in Austin, our actors have spent this past semester in Los Angeles studying with Howard Fine and Michael D. Cohen and engaging with a number of industry professionals. Presented at The Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

UTNT (UT New Theatre) presents newly developed works from playwrights of Texas Theatre and Dance and Michener Center for Writers. Now in its eleventh season, this showcase exists as an incubator for new work, with many continuing on to be professionally produced across the country.

Loverboy finally returns home: to his childhood home and to his mother. His youth is gone, but there are still many things to be raised within the walls of his strangely powerful bedroom.

Under the direction of Charles O. Anderson and Andrea Beckham, Transcendence is a celebration of the illustrious career of Dr. Yacov Sharir. The founder of the American Deaf Dance Company and Sharir Dance Company, Dr. Sharir's research and choreography features virtual environments and computerized movement. Transcendence marks the inaugural year of the Haruka Weiser Commission, which supports the creation and performance of a new work in celebration of the life and art of Haruka Weiser.

In addition to Texas Theatre and Dance's production of Lucy Prebble's ENRON, we are pleased to present a series of discussions and workshops surrounding the topics of capitalism, identity, gender and performance in an effort to better understand the controversy of the Enron scandal.
