Gabrielle Lewis graduated from Augsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, with concentrations in performance and directing/dramaturgy/playwriting. Most recently, she served as a classroom assistant for SteppingStone Theatre for Youth in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her experiences with theatre education also include working as a teaching artist for ZACH Theatre's Education Department in Austin, Texas. She has both assisted with and taught camps in acting, devising, scene study, movement, voice and creative design. In addition to theatre education, she has experience in performance, playwriting and stage management from her undergraduate journey at Augsburg. Additionally, Lewis is an alumna of Creative Action's Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble. Through her time in the Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities program, she seeks to learn culturally responsive strategies for practicing theatre and theatre learning with historically underrepresented populations in the theatre arts world.
