Gabrielle Lewis graduated from Augsburg University with a B.A. in Theatre with concentrations in performance and directing/dramaturgy/playwriting. She is a teaching artist, writer, dramaturg and performer from Round Rock, Texas. Her teaching artist experience includes working with SteppingStone Theatre for Youth in Saint Paul, Minnesota and ZACH Theatre in Austin, Texas. In 2022, she completed an internship with Creative Action, where she served as project manager for a youth participatory action research project concerning equity and accessibility in creative youth programming. Lewis presented at the 2023 Association for Theatre in Higher Education Annual Conference as an emerging scholar with the American Theatre and Drama Society, sharing her work "Centering Care in Performing the Archive: Reflecting on Petrificationology." Her research interests include healing-centered engagement in youth theatre devising practices and theatre as a practice of care and restoration in secondary learning environments.
