UTNT (UT New Theatre): poolboy00

By Sam Mayer
Directed by Mike Steele

Presented primarily on Twitch, poolboy00 is part reality show, part livestream. Come watch poolboy00 hang with his friends, work out, write in his journal, talk to strangers and try to make his life into art (it’s hard because life is mostly really boring so please chat with poolboy00 and help something interesting happen. Because something has to happen. Right?)

The chat is open, the water is nice, so hop on in and be a part of the show!

poolboy00 contains adult language, content and themes as well as conversation topics that some might find upsetting. Viewer discretion is advised.

poolboy00 runs approximately 2 hours with one intermission. Times may vary.

Note from the Producing Artistic Directors

What happens when you combine one part experimental new media, one part uncensored and candid happening and one part reality television? You get poolboy00. Playwright Sam Mayer and his co-conspirator Mike Steele are pioneering new terrain of digital programming. And the content - which was culled from many weeks of livestreaming on Twitch - is meant for adults with an appetite for adventure and mayhem. Enjoy!
