Will Davis (M.F.A., Directing, 2013), Chicago's American Theater Company’s artistic director, listed in New City Stage’s “Players 2018: The Fifty People Who Really Perform for Chicago.”

Isaac Gomez's (B.A. in Theatre and Dance, 2013) one-woman show The Way She Spoke: A Docu-Mythology, starring Karen Rodriguez (B.A. in Theatre and Dance, 2013) and directed by Rudy Ramirez (M.A. 2012), runs January 11-20 at Austin's Vortex.

Reisman (M.F.A. in Playwriting, 2013) shares the top prize with fellow playwright Angela Hanks, and will receive two years of developmental support for her work in addition to a monetary award.

Veronica Boccardo (B.F.A., Dance, 2017) performed with the Allegro Ballet of Houston Academy under the direction of Glenda and Vanessa Brown for the 16th performance of The Nutcracker, December 16-17th, 2017. Boccardo currently serves as pre-ballet and ballet 1 instructor for the Academy.

Felicia Fitzpatrick (B.A. in Theatre and Dance, 2014) has completed the first season of “Call & Response,” a podcast that explores the intersection between blackness and performing arts through interviews with Broadway actors, dancers, writers, creatives, and more.

The Department of Theatre and Dance's Performance as Public Practice featured an unprecedented number of alumni, faculty and current students presenting at the Dance Studies Association's (DSA) fall conference, “Transmissions and Traces: Rendering Dance.” Newly formed, DSA represents a merger of the Society of Dance History Scholars and the Congress on Research in Dance. Dr. Rebecca Rossen is currently the Editor of Studies in Dance History, the book series produced by the organization in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin Press. Alumna Clare Croft (Ph.D. 2010) will be taking over this leadership role when Dr. Rossen finishes her term.

Alejandro Herrera (B.A., Dance, 2015) will perform in Dance Patrelle's "Yorkville Nutcracker" in New York on Dec. 7-10 along with dancers from the New York City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Broadway.

Catch Arthur Marroquin (B.A., Acting, 2013) as Hermey, the elf/dentist in the beloved holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on stage across the nation. Dates and tickets available online.

Jen Prince (B.F.A., Acting, 1998) produced and co-edited a feature film, Quality Problems, a comedy about cancer. 

James Ogden (M.F.A., Design and Technology, 2014), assistant professor of Theatrical Design and Production at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, is currently designing scenery for Father Comes Home from the Wars, Parts 1, 2, and 3 at Actor's Express in Atlanta.
