Lucy Prebble’s ENRON examines the fall of the Houston-based energy giant – but what happens when roles traditionally cast as men, are presented by a cast of female and non-binary actors? Artistic engagement strategist, Jess O’Rear and director, Hannah Wolf discuss the importance of casting, gender, power and toxic masculinity in Texas Theatre and Dance’s production of ENRON.

The College of Fine Arts sat down with members of the team responsible for creating the raptors of ENRON, taking the stage February 2018, to discuss the design process, challenges and the direction of collaborative design for the stage.

Witness the depth of deceit that led to one of the largest financial scandals in history.

Faculty member Kirk Lynn will be inducted into one of the most prestigious literary organizations in the state, the Texas Institute of Letters, this April, alongside Willie Nelson, novelist Bret Anthony Johnston and screenwriter Richard Linklater.

Schroeder-Arce received the award, a recognition for her work in Higher Education, from Texas Educational Theatre Association at the organization's annual conference, TheatreFest.

Will Davis (M.F.A. 2013), joined Chicago's American Theater Company as artistic director in 2016. Listed as number eight in Newcity Stage's countdown, Davis' work is heralded as demonstrating a "freedom of thought surrounding gender, race and sexuality refreshing in its assertion of its own normalcy."
