Alumnus Stars in New Play at New York Theatre Workshop

Fajer Al-Kaisi M.F.A. ('07) is performing in the world premiere of Aftermath at New York Theatre Workshop. Erik Jensen and Jessica Blank are the award-winning writers of, The Exonerated, which ran for eighteen months Off-Broadway.

M.F.A. Student Garners National Award

Third year M.F.A. in costume design candidate, Ariana Schwartz, has been awarded the prestigious Zelma H. Weisfeld Costume Design and Technology Award. Presented by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), The Zelma H. Weisfeld Costume Design & Technology Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated excellence or outstanding potential in the areas of costume design or technology in the performing arts while pursuing a graduate degree.

Alumnus Kevin Adams Awarded Third Tony

Theatre and Dance alumnus Kevin Adams (B.F.A. in Theatrical Design, 1984) won a Tony Award for “Best Lighting Design of a Musical” for his design of American Idiot. The award marks a third-career win for Adams.
