Alumnus Abe Koogler’s (M.F.A. 2014) latest play, Fulfillment Center, was recently reviewed by The New York Times, which described it as “finding poetry in missed connections.” The play runs off-Broadway through July 9.

UT Theatre and Dance Welcomes Renowned Hip-Hop Choreographer and Educator Dr. Lorenzo "Rennie" Harris

The University of Texas at Austin is pleased to announce the faculty appointment of renowned choreographer Dr. Lorenzo "Rennie" Harris. Recognized by the United States Department of Education as a leading ambassador for the art of hip-hop dance, Harris will teach technique courses, set repertory and offer lectures in the Department of Theatre and Dance beginning January 2018.

An informal affiliation of local arts critics have recognized the year's most exceptional achievements in dance, classical music, visual arts and theatre. The Department of Theatre and Dance productions, students, faculty, alumni and friends are well represented on this year's list of nominations. Texas Theatre and Dance's In the Red and Brown Water and Momentum were both recognized as part of this year's list.
