Registration is now open for all three of The University of Texas at Austin Theatre and Dance Youth Summer Camps. This summer, we have a variety of exciting opportunities for young artists to grow their skills, showcase their talents and explore UT Austin. 

M.F.A. candidates Malena Pennycook (Choreomaniac 1518), Emma Watkins (Pretend it's Pretend), Claire Derriennic (Taste Buds: The Adventures of Cake and Broccoli) and Mateo Hernandez (spayce boys) discuss their plays, which will be on stage in UTNT (UT New Theatre) 2024.

Andrew Rodriguez (B.F.A. 2019) will debut a new dance piece, entitled Fantasmas, as part of his artist residency with Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre. Fantasmas is a duet that captures the overwhelming presence of uncertainty and loneliness, set to premiere in September 2024.

Jacob Zamarripa, current B.A. in Theatre and Dance student, was recently awarded Best Lighting Design of a Play or Musical for Ride the Cyclone (Jet-Pac Theater) by BroadwayWorld Houston . 

Danny Tejera (M.F.A. 2020) will join fellow educators in a series of educational workshops hosted by PlayPenn, an organization dedicated to creating new work and developing playwrights.
