B.A. in Theatre and Dance

The Fall 2019 application is available beginning August 1, 2018. The deadline to apply for freshman admission is December 1, 2018.
For students with prior college experience seeking admission to the B.A. in Theatre and Dance program, the deadline to apply for transfer admission is March 1, 2019.

How to Apply

First-Year Applicants

1. Set up your UT EID

Your UT EID is your online account at The University of Texas at Austin. Get started here. Contact the Office of Admissions at 512-475-7399 for assistance.

2. Submit the Theatre and Dance Application

Available: August 1
Deadline: December 1

This application form allows you to select your intended major, register for an audition and submit a portfolio as applicable to your program. Access the Theatre and Dance application through Acceptd.

3. Register to Audition and/or Submit a Portfolio

Available: August 1
Deadline: December 1

An audition and/or portfolio submission is required for admission to the B.A. in Theatre and Dance program. You may choose to audition and submit a portfolio if this best reflects your artistic identity.

4. Submit the ApplyTexas Application or Coalition Application

Available: August 1
Deadline: December 1

Apply Texas Application
  1. Begin a new application for Fall 2019 semester. 
  2. Select "College of Fine Arts" as your first-choice school. 
  3. Select your desired Theatre and Dance degree program as your first choice major. 
  4. You may check the status of your application and update your selections through your MyStatus page. 
Coalition Application 
  1. Complete your Coalition Profile for The University of Texas at Austin and navigate to the "Program" page.
  2. Enter "Theatre," "Dance" or "Acting" to select your first choice major. 
  3. Select your desired theatre and dance degree. 

Transfer Applicants

For External Applicants
