Creative Team

Brittney Barton (Scenic Designer) is a second-year M.F.A. in Theatre (scenic design) graduate student. She has worked on several Texas Theatre and Dance productions including Three Exorcisms and These. Are. The. Keystrokes. (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2025) and EQUINOX (2025).

Alyssa Conchas (Education Team) is a second-year B.F.A. in Theatre Education major at The University of Texas at Austin. She has an extensive background in both musical and technical theatre. Most recently she served as a production assistant with Austin's Impact Arts during the annual Heller Awards for Young Artists.

Gala Demarin (Assistant Scenic Designer) is a first-year M.F.A. in Theatre (scenic design) candidate at The University of Texas at Austin. Recent credits include the Savannah Film Festival and Little Shop of Horrors.

Manami (Ally) Dolley (Assistant Stage Manager) is a B.A. in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in design and technology and a focus in stage management. She has a strong background in technical theatre with experience spanning multiple disciplines. Recent credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include assistant stage managing for These. Are. The. Keystrokes. (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2025) and hair and makeup design for a production featured in The Cohen New Works Festival (2025).

Valeria Nuñez Estrada (Assistant Technical Director, Assistant Props Manager) is a third-year B.A. in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in design and technology and a second major in government. Recent credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include serving as light board operator for Romeo y Juliet (2024), co-scenic design for A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Studio Series, 2024) and assistant scenic design for EQUINOX (2025) in addition to projects as part of The Cohen New Works Festival and Directing the Young Performer.

Mia Hindman (Education Team) is a second-year B.F.A. in Theatre Education major at The University of Texas at Austin. She serves on the Heller Awards for Young Artists team as a production assistant intern. Hindman spent the summer working with Zach Theatre as a teaching artist intern, where she now works as a third through fifth grade dance teacher.

Alisa Rose Irvin (Stage Manager) is a B.A. in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in design and technology and a focus in stage management. She has six years of stage managing experience. Recent credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include Three Exorcisms (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2025) in addition to serving as a venue lead for The Cohen New Works Festival (2025).

Ishu (Co-Director) is currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Theatre with a specialization in drama and theatre for youth and communities. He is an educator and trained actor, holding a Master's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Hyderabad. Over the last decade, Ishu has collaborated with renowned theatre educators, practitioners and directors globally, with a particular focus on Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) for the past eight years.

Noelle Lansford (Sound Designer) is a B.F.A. in Theatre Education major at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to sound design, she has experience in acting and directing. Recent credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include Yes or No performed as part of The Cohen New Works Festival (2025).

Kanea Macdonald (Tour Booking Manager, Education Team) is a M.F.A. in Theatre candidate with a specialization in drama and theatre for youth and communities. Macdonald is a theatre maker, director and teaching artist especially interested in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) and work with communities.

Valeria Morales Tovar (Education Team) is a B.A. in Theater and Dance major, with an emphasis in drama for youth and communities, and a Mexican American and Latina/o Studies major at The University of Texas at Austin.

Ashton Bennett Murphy (Technical Director, Properties Manager) is a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin, where she teaches technical theatre and props management for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Since joining Texas Performing Arts in 2018, Murphy has served in multiple roles including scenic charge artist and project specialist. This fall, she took on the role of theatrical properties manager, leading the design, fabrication and integration of props that help bring Texas Theatre and Dance and Butler Opera Center productions to life. 

Jessica Paine (Education Team) is a second-year B.F.A. in Theatre Education major at The University of Texas at Austin. She has previously served on the University Interscholastic League student activities conference team and as a Texas UIL Theatre Intern. Additionally, this summer, she performed in a production of Bye Bye Birdie at Texarts Association.

Annase Raji (Education Team) is a Nigerian artist, scholar and community advocate pursuing a M.F.A. in Theatre with a specialization in drama and theatre for youth and communities. She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Film Arts and a M.A. in Media and Communication. With extensive teaching and facilitation experience, Raji has worked with youth facing mental health challenges, led 700+ volunteers in community service and researched drama workshops for immigrant empowerment.

Ava Sofia Settoon (Costume Designer)  is a second-year M.F.A. in Theatre (costume design) candidate The University of Texas at Austin. Her recent credits include At This Table (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2025), as well as Bat Boy, The Second Star to the Right and Mary Sweet Mary with Emerson Stage. She has also designed for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, bringing her passion for storytelling and visual design to both stage and exhibition spaces.

Rain Snyder (Lighting Designer) is a B.F.A. in Theatre Education major at The University of Texas at Austin. She has experience in both acting and technical theatre. Recent credits include lighting design for You Need the Goo and Godfriend, performed as part of The Cohen New Works Festival (2025), and acting roles in Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic and Antony and Cleopatra.

Patrick Schoen (Assistant Lighting Designer) is a first-year M.F.A. in Theatre (lighting design) at The University of Texas at Austin. Recent design credits include Newsies (Theatre Macon, 2024), Onegin (Georgia College and State University, 2025), Rindaldo (Mercer University, 2025) and Angels in America: Millennium Approaches (Theatre Macon, 2025).

Joshua Rashon Streeter (Co-Director) is a lecturer in the M.F.A. in Theatre (drama and theatre for youth and communities) and B.F.A. in Theatre Education programs. As a theatre-maker, he creates work that is both aesthetically and narratively driven, exploring the interplay of light, objects, movement and music. As a scholar, his teaching focuses on critical pedagogy, K-16 pre-service and in-service education, drama and theatre education, Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), musical theatre history and arts integration. Her favorite credits include Cinderella (Brennan High School) and "Motormouth Maybelle" in Hairspray (The Smith Center).

Some of her favorite roles include “Topolsk” in Pillowman, “Son” in Trail to Oregon, “Anne Sullivan” in The Miracle Worker and “Catherine Donohue” in These Shining Lives. She has also written and directed a children’s show of her own based on the book The Day the Crayons Quit.
