Dana McLaughlin Jr.

Dana McLaughlin Jr. joined the Department of Theatre and Dance in 2021 as the Audience Services Coordinator, where he actively works to ensure an excellent guest experience, overseeing ticketing services and front of house operations. He supports student learning by mentoring and teaching students about the department’s audience-facing operations. He relocated to Austin from Plattsburgh, New York in 2019 where he spent almost a decade serving the community as the Theatre Manager, Event Production Manager and eventually the Interim Executive Director at The Strand Center for the Arts. He also worked with many local community theatre groups filling various roles both on and off the stage including acting, stage managing, light designing and serving as a front of house manager.
