Chih-Ching Chester Tsai is a director and playwright from Taipei, Taiwan. He is currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Theatre with a specialization in playwriting at The University of Texas at Austin. He served as the resident director of Tainaner Ensemble between 2019 and 2023. His writing delves into the heart of individual and family identities within Taiwanese culture and intercultural contexts. In his directing approach, he foregrounds literary texts while integrating multimedia and cross-disciplinary materials.
