Chisom Obike is a Ph.D. in Theatre candidate with a specialization in performance as public practice at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on how Black Women in the West use authorial positions and creative mediums to negotiate and construct their social positioning. Obike holds a B.A. in English from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee and an M.A. in Literature from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
