Yuheng Jiang is a first-year M.F.A. in Theatre candidate with a specialization in live design and production (costume design) at The University of Texas at Austin. Originally from Chongqing, China, she holds a B.A. in Theatre and Dance from Macalester College, MN. Jiang’s theatrical journey began with costume design and has expanded to a wide range of disciplines, such as puppetry, lighting, sound and digital animation.
To refine her creative focus, she completed a year-long Production Management Fellowship at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis following her graduation. This experience provided a broader understanding of theater production and reaffirmed her passion for costume design.
