Ishu is an educator and Theatre for Young Audiences practitioner from India, currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Theatre with a specialization in drama and theatre for youth and communities at The University of Texas at Austin. A trained actor with a Masters in Performing Arts from the University of Hyderabad, he participated in the Korean storytelling program Tell-a-Tale from 2016 to 2018 in collaboration with the Korea Cultural Centre (India). Ishu has eight years of experience in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) and five years of experience teaching theatre in various Indian schools. He was part of the Next Generation Program at Augenblickmal (2015), the German TYA festival, under ASSITEJ's artistic gathering in Germany. Ishu participated in the Korean Residency Programme in 2017 and 2019, organized by the Mindeulle Theatre Company in South Korea. In 2019, he performed at the International PUM Festival in South Korea. The same year, Ishu produced Of Sound, Rhythm, and Soul, which premiered at Project AMEY during Visioni Di Teatro, an annual children’s festival organized by La Baracca Company in Bologna, Italy.
