Mira Cook is a teacher, performer, choreographer and certified Pilates instructor. Originally from Austin, Cook studied ballet with Arletta Howard Logan and Terri Lynn Wright and performed in the corps de ballet with Ballet Austin through their trainee program. She went on to dance professionally with City Ballet of San Diego where she performed leading roles in George Balanchine's Rubies, Agon and Tarantella and Betsey Wistrich's The Rite of Spring. Cook danced for Liss Fain Dance in San Francisco and spent 10 years with Battery Dance (New York) touring to 32 countries with support from the U.S. State Department. Cook has had the pleasure of performing and teaching dance workshops on five continents and facilitating the creation of new choreography with Battery Dance's "Dancing to Connect" program. She is featured in the documentary Moving Stories, which chronicles this workshop series (now streaming on Amazon). Cook is a fully certified Balanced Body Pilates instructor and has spent the last few years teaching Pilates in New York. She is also the founder and director of NY Community Ballet, a low cost ballet class series for professional dancers.

I love the people in Austin and the beautiful places to swim.
