December 6, 2024
Teatro Vivo's annual La Pastorela will feature performances and artistic contributions by multiple alumni, faculty and current students. This interactive theatre experience will be on stage December 6-14, 2024.
La Pastorela has been a mainstay in Teatro Vivo's performance season for many years, often featuring collaborators from The University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance. Roxanne Schroeder-Arce served as the lead playwright for a recent rendition of the annual production, and her research can be found in this year's script as well. Mateo Hernandez, a current graduate student in the Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities area, will direct La Pastorela as part of their thesis project.
Additional collaborators from UT Theatre and Dance include:
- Madison Palomo (M.F.A. candidate) - performer
- Oscar Franco (B.F.A. 2014) - performer and technician
- Juan Angel Leyva (B.F.A. 2020) - performer
- Sarah Jean Elliott (M.F.A. 2024) - lighting designer
- Jessica Peña Torres (Ph.D. candidate) - performer
- Tomás Salas (B.A. 2019) - scenic designer
