Join PPP's Fridays@2 speaker series for a pedagogy roundtable and workshop led by Dr. Rachel Merrill Moss, featuring Lara Dossett (DTYC/Theatre Education faculty) and Aysha Upchurch (PPP Ph.D. candidate)
The Performance as Public Practice Fridays@2 speaker series facilitates discussions about the creation and study of performance. PPP welcomes artists from within and beyond the Winship Drama Building, including current students, distinguished alumni and arts leaders from across the country, to share their research and methodology. Up next is a pedagogy roundtable and workshop led by Dr. Rachel Merrill Moss, featuring Lara Dossett (DTYC/Theatre Education faculty) and Aysha Upchurch (PPP Ph.D. candidate).
Are you interested in thinking with fellow pedagogues about how to bring active learning into your lecturing practices? Want to try out or workshop ideas with others curious about the same questions?
Join us for PPP's Fri@2 on March 6 for a pedagogy roundtable and workshop! We will dig into best practices and discussion around the topic of how to engage active learning when introducing content/context, and the session will culminate in a pedagogy workshop where new ideas can be considered and thought through with the others minds in the room. Performance as Public Practice faculty member Rachel Merrill Moss will moderate and contribute to a brief roundtable discussion with Lara Dossett (Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities/Theatre Education Faculty) and Aysha Upchurch (Performance as Public Practice Ph.D. candidate), with open workshopping to follow. We look forward to seeing you there!
Light refreshments will be served.
