Join PPP's Fridays@2 colloquium series for a screening of the documentary Ballerina Boys.

The Performance as Public Practice Fridays@2 colloquium series facilitates discussions about the creation and study of performance. PPP welcomes artists from within and beyond the Winship Drama Building, including current students, distinguished alumni and arts leaders from across the country, to share their research and methodology. Kicking off the spring semester is a screening of the documentary Ballerina Boys, exploring the history of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.

About Ballerina Boys

Ballerina Boys was originally created for the PBS American Masters series. As Misty Copeland observed: Ballerina Boys isn’t just a beautifully documented history of the groundbreaking Les Ballets Trockadero, it’s a reflection of the ballet world. All that ballet has been, is and should strive to be.”

This screening will be an opportunity to dive deeper into Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo before their performance later that night at Texas Performing Arts. Ticket holders for that performance are welcome to attend a pre-show talk with PPP's very own Dr. Enzo E. Vasquez Toral.
