About Dr. Minou Arjomand
Dr. Minou Arjomand’s research and teaching focuses on the relationship between aesthetic experience and political action. How can works of art shape the ways we live together?
Her first book, Staged: Show Trials, Political Theater, and the Aesthetics of Judgment (Columbia University Press, 2018) is about the close relationship between theater and courtroom trials following the Second World War. She is currently working on a second book, Radio Publics, which offers a history of the early decades of radio in order to understand how people share stories in times of social upheaval, mass migration and rapid technological change. Her articles on theater, opera and radio have been published in journals such as Modern Drama, Performance Research and Theatre Survey.
