Youth Summer Camps

The Department of Theatre and Dance is thrilled to offer programming beyond our formal degree programs. This summer, we have a variety of exciting opportunities for young artists to grow their skills, showcase their talents and explore The University of Texas at Austin.

Summer Institute: Activating Learning Through the Arts

The Summer Institute: Activating Learning through the Arts is a two-week, eight-day intensive for pre-service and in-service teachers, arts educators and University of Texas at Austin students interested in using drama-based instructional strategies in their educational curriculum.

Professional Development Summer Workshops

The Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at Austin welcomes educators to campus for summer intensives that further explore the field of performance-based art. Professional Development Workshops are open to all professionals regardless of affiliation with the university.

American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive

The American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive is a four-week program designed for middle school and high school-aged student dancers. Taught by faculty from American Ballet Theatre and The University of Texas at Austin, the curriculum includes high level technique and lecture courses supporting the development of a well-rounded dancer.
