William Peterson (PhD in Theatre History & Criticism, 1991) is now a Senior Lecturer and Postgraduate Coordinator in the Centre for Drama and Theatre Studies at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Monash is one of Australia’s leading universities with strong academic links with Southeast Asia in ethnomusicology, history, politics, and anthropology. Part of his role in the Center is to further links with Southeast Asia in theatre and performance and to attract additional postgrads to the program.
