Daphne Silbiger is a M.F.A. in Playwriting candidate from Philadelphia. Their writing has been seen at JACK, Play Date at Pete's Candy Store, Sitka Fine Arts Camp, The Secret Theatre, Irondale, Abrons Arts Center, Little Theatre at Dixon Place and as a part of Corkscrew Theater Festival. Their technical work has included projects with Target Margin Theater, WP Theater, Soho Rep., The Bushwick Starr, This is Not a Theatre Company, Minor Theater and Ars Nova. Their play Six Years Old was published in 2019 by Dramatists Play Service, and they were recognized as a 2019 Relentless Award semi-finalist for their play Pound. Silbiger also plays with the band Go Home. They like writing stories about moments of transition and draw inspiration from queer theory, performance history and music. After studying medieval literature and art history at the University of Virginia, Silbiger graduated from New York University with a degree in Dramatic Literature and Performance Studies in 2016.
