Hannah Kenah is a performer, writer and company member of the Rude Mechs and has been developing work with the company since 2008, including national tours of The Method Gun, Stop Hitting Yourself (including its premiere at Lincoln Center), I’ve Never Been So Happy and their recreation of Dionysus in ’69. She served as the writer for Rude Mechs’ Now Now Oh Now which recently completed a six-city national tour including Miami Light Project, Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and Fringe Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kenah is currently performing in and co-writing the Rude Mechs’ latest work Field Guide, commissioned by Yale Rep. For Salvage Vanguard Theater, she wrote, co-devised and performed in Guest by Courtesy which was selected for Fusebox Festival 2013, then traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria for an artist exchange with the University of Sofia, and was produced this summer by Brooklyn Yard in New York City. In 2015, Kenah directed her play Everything is Established for Physical Plant; the production received the Austin Critics' Table 2015 awards for Best Production of a Comedy and Best Ensemble Performance and an honorable mention on the 2015 Kilroys List. Her play, With Great Difficulty Alice Sits,'produced by Salvage Vanguard Theater, will premiere fall 2016 and she will be performing the role of "Alice." Kenah is currently studying playwriting as a Michener fellow at The University of Texas at Austin.
