Justine Gelfman

Justine Gelfman is a M.F.A. in Playwriting candidate at The University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been developed or produced at Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Flea Theater, IRT Theater, Einhorn School of Performing Arts/Primary Stages, Dixon Place, Pete's Candy Store, New Women Space, The NEW York International Fringe Festival, Kenyon College and Northwestern University. She has been a resident at SPACE on Ryder Farm, Sewanee Writers' Conference, Kenyon Playwrights Conference and Access Theater. Her plays include In Sisters We Trust or My Fucked Up American Girl Doll Play (selected for The Dennis & Victoria Ross Foundation's Playwrights Program (2019/20), Leah Ryan’s Fund for Emerging Women Writers Prize finalist (2020), The New Harmony Project finalist (2020), The Playwrights Realm's Scratchpad Series semi-finalist (2020)); The Technicians (Seven Devils Playwrights Conference finalist (2019), Blue Ink Playwriting Award finalist (2019), Bay Area Playwrights Festival semi-finalist (2019), Eugene O'Neill Theater Center semi-finalist (2019)) and The Thing That Never Happened (Eugene O'Neill Theater Center semi-finalist (2018), FringeFAVE at The NEW York International Fringe Festival).
