Stephanie Fisher is a third-year M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in costume design at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (Arts Management) from Baldwin Wallace University. At UT, Fisher has designed costumes for Spring Awakening (Fall 2019), Everybody (Fall 2019), Matawan, Good Country, Mammoth and dance concerts Transcendence, Fortitude and Fall for Dance 2017. She has designed all over the country, including productions in Austin, Cleveland, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York and New Hampshire. She has worked previously as a costume technician for Washington National Opera, Signature Theatre (DC), Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Great Lakes Theater (OH), spent two summers as resident costume designer and costume shop manager for Peterbor­ough Players (Peterborough, NH) and most recently completed her second summer as Costume Shop Supervisor at New York Stage and Film (New York, NY). Fisher excels at intensely researched design, particularly in period costume and is interested in how (new) art about the past can inspire positive change for the future.
