Emma Craig began costuming in middle school while attending the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. She then took a detour during her undergraduate career to attempt to become a business major, only to return after a year and half to theatre. At Western Washington University she obtained a B.A. in Costume Design. During her final semester, she held an internship working as a Technician in the Costume Shop at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She returned to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival after graduation to work for the next five years as a Stitcher I and II. Now she is entering her first year as a M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in costume technology.
