Alumni present new work at Hollywood Fringe Fest

University of Texas alumni group, Mixtape Theatre Company, presents their new work Home, June 14-28 at the Hollywood Fringe Fest in Los Angeles, California.

In a city full of transplants, where do you go to find a heart?  You go…Home.

Mixtape Theatre Company offers nine solo plays in one hour on the cozy, the bleak, the beautiful, terrible, hilarious, lonely and heartwarming, all - encompassing,  identity defying and defining, the many, the only: HOME.

“We are so excited about Home. This is a brand new one-hour piece of theatre with nine solo acts, all written and performed by members of our company, alumni from the University of Texas at Austin," explains company co-artistic director Mark Scheibmeir. "We originally came from different places – we have six Southerners, one Mid-Westerner and one Romanian – but since we all studied acting in Austin, Texas that creates a special bond.”

Mixtape Theatre Company is a new L.os Angeles-based theatre company created by University of Texas at Austin alumni and committed to bringing high quality theatre productions to the Los Angeles public. This is the company’s second production at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
