Lyn Koenning

Lyn Koenning is an award-winning music director, vocal arranger and voice and acting coach with nearly 30 years' worth of teaching, conducting and performing experience. Her students have appeared on Broadway, Disney parks and cruise ships, regional theatre, television and film.

Koenning works with creative teams to develop new work for musical theatre, most recently for developmental workshops of ZM [Zombie Musical] by the Tony-winning team behind Urinetown, Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis, as well as Princesses: The Musical, written by Cheri Steinkliner (Sister Act, Cheers), David Zippel (City of Angels) and Matthew Wilder (Mulan, Hercules).

She is the artistic director of the Texas Musical Theatre Workshop (TXMTW), a three-week summer intensive for high school students receiving pre-professional training in musical theatre and college auditioning skills from Broadway professionals and university faculty. An accomplished pianist, she has extensive performing credits as a collaborative pianist for solo vocal and instrumental music, cover and pop bands and musical theatre and opera. She has accompanied master classes for Broadway luminaries including Kathleen Marshall, Billy Porter, Laura Osnes, Mandy Gonzalez, Judy Kuhn, Kamilah Marshall, Tonya Pinkins and Joseph Leo Bwarie.
