The way Rick Stephens of the Texas Performing Arts scene shop invariably appeared at the moment a construction mistake was made, and the way Dr. Brockett always attended performances featuring department students, on campus or off.

Erik Viker is an associate professor of theatre at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania where he teaches courses in stagecraft and production, stage management, and dramatic literature. He also serves as faculty technical director for the Department of Theatre. He supervises operations for department productions and guides the work of students in patron services activities. Viker's research interests include the role of technical theatre in liberal arts education and his articles on theatre safety and small theatre management have appeared nationally in Stage Directions magazine and the quarterly journal Theatre Design and Technology. Viker is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (currently serving on the Publications Committee), the Libertarian Party and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 636.  He also puts his project management experience to work as an elected member of his town’s governing council.
