Faculty and staff member Andy Grapko recently served as intimacy coordinator for the Hulu original movie Clock, which is now available to stream.

Every year, Teatro Vivo presents staged readings of new plays through the Austin Latinx New Play Festival. This year's festival includes plays by UT faculty and current students, with collaborators from within the department and across the country.

Earlier this semester, 15 dance students and members of the dance area faculty attended the American College Dance Association (ACDA) South-Central Regional Conference. While there, they performed to acclaim in the ACDA Gala Concert, presented new works of dance and film and participated in over 50 classes and workshops.

Dr. David A. Crespy (M.F.A. 1986) has received a 2022/2023 Fulbright Scholar Award in Research/Teaching, supporting his work in Spain and Greece on a collection of plays entitled Mi Corazón Español Vive Ahora En Grecia: Six Plays of Sephardic Greece.

Austin Playhouse is presenting a staged reading of KEYS, a musical for young audiences with book by faculty member Roxanne Schroeder-Arce and music and lyrics by alumna Jenn Hartmann Luck (M.F.A. 2011).

As part of her Emory Playwriting Fellowship, alumna Megan Tabaque (M.F.A. 2017) is directing a workshop production of her play Britney Approximately: A Pop Greek Tragedy. The piece, which features music by alum Drew Paryzer (M.F.A. 2018) and others, will be on stage at Theater Emory April 6-16, 2023.
