Kate Proietti is a maker of theatre, videos and visual art. She believes dancing and storytelling are good medicine. An M.F.A. in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities candidate, Proietti is interested in performance in community space as potential site(s) of resistance, celebration and healing.
Her work explores the intersection of art, ritual and performance. Proietti was the project lead for Hobo Salon, a video art installation which premiered at the Cohen New Works Festival (2017). She will co-direct Voices Against Violence's Theatre for Dialogue performance Get Sexy, Get Consent in 2017.
