Christine Gwillim is a Ph.D. student in the Performance as Public Practice program. Her interests include practice based research, affect theory, the performance of everyday life and feminist performance. Her current research focuses on the intersectionality of religious and secular rituals.
Gwillim is a practicing performance artist and works for the scholarly journal, Studies in Gender and Sexuality. She recently finished a year long curatorial internship at The Kitchen in New York City, where she worked to help persevere their audio visual and paper archives. She holds a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Performance Studies from New York University.
