Kaiwen Fa

Kaiwen Fa is a first-year M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in integrated media for live performance at The University of Texas at Austin. Originally from China, Kaiwen holds strong interests in design technology, visual arts, film and theatre. He eventually found the perfect union of all his interests in the area of projection design while he was an undergraduate at The University of Texas at Austin's Department of Theatre and Dance. Kaiwen’s most recent work as a projection designer includes Pathways (2015), an interdisciplinary piece under the larger production Ears, Eyes, and Feet (2015), which integrates dance, music composition and projection design. He was also part of the projection teams in productions including They Have Big Voices Where The Universe Ends (Bodies & Souls, 2016), Refugia (2015) and RE/connect (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2015).
