Chun-Kang Chen is a M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in costume technology. He graduated with a B.F.A. in Costume Design from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). In the past few years, Chun-Kang worked as a staff stitcher and first hand in a costume studio at Yong-Le Fabric Market in Taiwan, where he made costumes for Chinese opera, stage plays, dance and music performances, advertisements and TV programs and films. He worked as costume designer and tailor for projects for stage plays and dance such as Phonon & Dance, Rabbit Hole, My Trave: Flowers & Sea. As a stitcher, he worked for projects such as Opera: Eugene Onegin, Princess Wencheng, The Lazy of God on the Grass in Taiwan’s National Theatre. In 2015, he was invited to Wenzhou, China, where he had a runway show with costumes he designed. Related working experience also includes projects for the 2015 Philanthropic Photography Exhibition, T-shirt Design for Outdoor Concert, Marimba bags production in Taiwan.
