Please join us in honoring Professor Jim Glavan as we celebrate his work in the field of Costume Technology and commemorate his retirement from the Department of Theatre and Dance. This event will honor Professor Glavan’s amazing career as a teacher, an artist and mentor.

Travel Congestion and Parking notice for Saturday, May 7, 2022

There will be a number of events happening on campus on Saturday, May 7. Guests are encouraged to allow extra time for traffic and parking congestion. 

If you plan to park on campus, we recommend entering campus on San Jacinto Boulevard from Dean Keeton Street (26th Street) and parking in the San Jacinto Garage. (https://parking.utexas.edu/maps/visitors).

In addition, the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center Garage (More information available HERE) will be open beginning to guests at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7th. There are no garage fees for guests on that Saturday. Parking will be limited. Please consider carpooling, using a rideshare, CapMetro or alternative transportation.

Parking on Campus

The university requires all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to pay for parking on campus. Visitors are encouraged to park in the San Jacinto Garage within walking distance of the F. Loren Winship Drama Building. In addition, there is metered parking available on Dean Keeton/26th Street.
